Google Play Protect in Android

You can never be too careful when it comes to protecting your sensitive data on your Android device. Since Google wants to help keep your Android device safe, it has a feature called Android Play Protect.

But what is it exactly, and how do you enable it if you decide to use it or turn it off? One of many things to keep in mind is that it won’t cause any issues with the antivirus you currently have on your Android device.

How to Disable Play Protect

If you need to turn off Play Protect for whatever reason, you’ll need to go to:

Settings
Google
Security
Google Play Protect
Tap on Cog-wheel
Select Scan apps with Play Protect to turn it off
